The gospel is the good news that through Jesus Christ, the power of God's Kingdom has entered into human history to redeem and restore this fallen and broken world. When we repent of our sin, believe and trust that Jesus' perfect righteousness and saving work alone are sufficient to save us from the penalty of our sins, God mercifully forgives our sins and graciously gives us the gift of eternal life.
The power of the gospel changes us from the inside out. In Jesus Christ, we receive a new identity as we are adopted into God's family and sent into the world as missionaries and agents of God's amazing grace.
The gospel is news that demands a response. So, what is that response? Trust that Jesus’ death and resurrection have paid the penalty for your sin. Turn away from your sins and live to please and obey God rather than yourself. Know that God is eager to forgive you. He wants to have a relationship with you as your Father. He offers you the power to live the rest of your life honoring, enjoying, and serving him in the context of a local church.
